SHE’S been compared to E.L James, author of the world famous ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ novel, now Cael Percy will reap the rewards of her labour as her first book – The Vacancy – was published.
The Warwickshire based writer has already made the top 10 books on Amazon – peaking at 7th bestseller over the weekend – and has readers asking for more.
Based on a steamy romance between a young woman – who answers a mysterious job advert – that starts a passionate affair with her rich, very handsome, boss.
Cael was inspired to write the book during a hospital admission after a nurse lent her a copy of Twilight and Fifty Shades of Grey.
She added: “I began writing it in my hospital bed – typing it on my phone – it was a way of escaping the limits my situation placed on me, a form of escapism if you will.”
Her passion for writing started at the tender age of five, and Cael is hoping ‘The Vacancy’ can launch her writing career into the spotlight.
Cael said: “I’ve always liked writing stories – it has been a hobby of mine since I was five, it’s always been something I’ve done.
“Writing allows me to escape the limits my situation places on me, so its always been enjoyable for me.
“Because of the incredibly positive reaction I’ve received, it is something I’d love to continue doing – so many readers have emailed me asking for more, the reaction has been overwhelming.”
‘The Vacancy’ can be purchased on Amazon, iTunes, Barnes & Noble and Kobo.
