THE TWO people who died after an incident in Coventry on Friday have been named by police.

West Midlands Police, which is investigating the incident, has revealed the pair were Vicala Gheorghe and Marian Gheorghe.

The incident happened in Caludon Road which police were called to around 5.30am.

The 52-year-old Marian was confirmed dead at the scene and mum-of-six Vicala (pictured above), who was 49, was taken to hospital with serious injuries but died a short time later.

The pair were former partners and forensic post mortems are due to take place next week to establish the causes of death.

Officers are continuing their enquiries in a bid to establish exactly what happened but strongly believed Marian injured Vicala and then himself.

A spokesperson said: “We’re offering support to family members during this distressing time.”
