Appeal for information after woman attacked by dog in Nuneaton

NUNEATON POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a woman was attacked by a dog.

The woman was attacked in a wooden area near Hillcrest Road, Camphill.

It was reported that the dog, which was described as a brown and white pitbull type, initially attacked the victims dog at some time between 1.30pm and 2pm on Friday, May, 24.

When the woman tried to intervene the dog bit her hand and caused serious injuries.

PC Tamburro from Warwickshire Police said: “This attack left the woman with a nasty injury to her hand. We’ve carried out enquiries locally and we’re now keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the attack or who can help us identify the dog and its owner.”
