COVENTRY Blaze have confirmed the signing of American defenceman Mike Kennedy.
The 23-year-old will turn professional with Blaze in 2024/25 and joins Princeton University teammate Nick Seitz on Blaze’s roster.
Over the past four seasons at the NCAA level, Kennedy contributed 13 points (five goals, eight assists) in 76 games.
Prior to his collegiate career, Kennedy spent a year in the BCHL with the Nanaimo Clippers where he helped the Clippers to an Island Division title.
Kennedy chipped in with 12 points (two goals, 10 assists) that season and added a further assist in four post-season appearances.
Kennedy, who has a right shot and stands at 6ft 1in tall, was a standout at Northfield Mount Hermon School where he graduated as the school’s all-time leading scorer for a defenceman.
