COVENTRY City have unveiled their new home kit ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.
The new design takes inspiration from the origins of the City of Coventry, showing a modern interpretation of the ‘Cofa Tree’ in a distinctive new pattern on both the front and back of the shirt.
The name Coventry derives from the Anglo-Saxon ‘treo’ meaning ‘tree’ and the personal name Cofa or Coffa.
Together, the two parts make up ‘Cofa’s Tree’ or ‘Coffa’s Tree’, which over time became Coventry.
A specialised Cov FC tree emblem was developed, integrating elements of Saxon art and symbolism.
The repeated occurrence of the letters ‘COV’ were utilised to form the tree’s shape, with ‘FC’ representing its trunk.

This blending of historical significance and artistic representation brought the concept to life.
Together, these elements gave rise to ‘Cofa’s Tree’ – a fascinating and profound symbol that has become intricately linked with the city.
The shirt also includes an improved crest, with more colourisation than ever.
The kit is complete with white shorts which feature Sky Blue hummel chevrons alongside the G and R Scaffolding logo and a Sky Blue stripe detail down either side and Sky Blue socks.
And the front of the shirt displays the club’s new principal partner Monzo. While Mercury adorns the left sleeve and the King of Shaves logo is on the back of the shirt.
The famous hummel chevrons are along each sleeve too.
The kit is available to buy from Friday, July 26 at www.ccfcstore.com.
It is also available from the CCFC Superstore at the Coventry Building Society Arena and at West Orchards Shopping Centre.
