NUNEATON and Bedworth Borough Council have announced the improvements of Marlborough Road Recreation Ground after listening to resident’s views.
The council conducted an online survey and a consultation event at the Community Centre in Edward Street to hear the residents views on how the well used play equipment can be refreshed.
The council will put together a plan to address the main issues with an approved budget.
The plan includes a new young children’s play area, new football goals with artificial mouths, new older children’s play equipment and an outdoor fitness equipment area.
Coun Tim Jenkins, Portfolio Holder for Leisure, Communities and Health, said: “We would like to thank all residents that came to the consultation event and spoke to officers, as well as all those that filled out the consultation questionnaire online.
“We appreciate the time taken to comment on the refurbishment of what is a very well used and loved local park.”
