A NUNEATON man has been charged with five counts of shoplifting.
Shane Chapman, 44 of Mount Street in Nuneaton, will appear in Warwick Magistrates Court on August 30 for his first hearing.
This follows a series of alleged incidents at the same shop in Newtown Retail Park in Nuneaton:
On March 8 at 9pm, a man allegedly conceals around 70-75 chocolate bars in his bag with the total value of around £130, before leaving the store without an attempt to pay.
On March 25 at 8:06pm, a man reportedly hid £100 worth of confectionary items inside a bag before leaving the store without paying.
On April 4 at 9:08pm, a man conceals cleaning items to the value of £215 in his bag before leaving the store.
On April 14 at 3:50pm, a man hid an unknown quantity of cleaning items in a bag before leaving the store without payment.
On June 20 at 7:50pm, a man accompanied by a woman allegedly selected a number of confectionary items and concealed them in the man’s rucksack before leaving the store without payment.
