COVENTRY City will remember former England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson before tonight’s match against Oxford United.

A minute’s applause will take place prior to kick-off in memory of the former Three Lions boss who died yesterday (August 26) aged 76 following a long battle with pancreatic cancer.

Eriksson, from Sweden, became England’s first foreign manager in 2001 and coached the Three Lions at the 2002 and 2006 FIFA World Cup’s along with Euro 2004.

He revealed he had “at best” a year to live in January.

Coventry’s match with Oxford takes place TONIGHT (Tuesday, August 27) with kick-off at 7.45pm at the Coventry Building Society Arena.
