A RUGBY club is celebrating its 100th birthday with members of the club set to walk from the Memorial Park in Coventry to the current grounds in Kenilworth.
Kenilworth RFC was founded in 1924 where the team played against Warwickshire Yeomanry on September 20, that ended in a 0-3 loss.
To celebrate the Centenary season, members will walk on September 21, to Glasshouse Lane where the team have played since 1947.
The club will host a celebration lunch before their Men’s Midlands 1 match against Bromsgrove where kick off is at 3pm.

Over the past century, more than 1,000 players have represented KRFC in over 3,000 1st team matches.
The club is currently home to mixed Minis and Juniors section, with over 400 players aged from under 6 to under 18 years.
In the senior game, Kenilworth Women compete at Championship level, while the Men’s side plays in Regional 1, Midlands.
Club President Rich Bennett said: “We are an inclusive community rugby club that enables all players to either just play or become the best version of themselves and to progress as far as they wish.
“It is humbling and inspirational to know that we have many players who have gone on to representative rugby and elite rugby.
“May this continue for another century.”
