SEVERN TRENT’S educational team is bringing free information sessions to schools across Coventry and Warwickshire.

The team are urging teachers to get in touch and book their slot for the interactive workshops.

The Wonderful World of Water teaches youngsters about water efficiency as well as tips that can help save water at home.

Secondary schools have a science of sewage sessions cover what should and shouldn’t be in sewers and how to recycle waste water.

Last year, there was over 61,000 schoolchildren across the region who educated by Severn Trent.

Maxine Smith, senior education officer at Severn Trent said: “Our free workshops and assemblies are always a huge amount of fun, as well as being very informative and a fantastic way for children to get involved and learn more.

“The sessions really help youngsters to think about the work that Severn Trent does, how important it is to look after our water along with how their waste is treated and how their actions can go a long way in impacting the environment.

“We would urge interested schools or parents who would like to get a school involved to get in touch to find out more about the free sessions.”

A spokesperson for Moat House Primary School in Coventry added: “Beth was great with the children, very engaging and involved them throughout.

“There were lots of opportunities for our learners to actively participate with the content.

“Great behaviour management and connections made with the children. The props/ power point supported the delivery, bringing learning to life and making it relevant to their lives.”
