COVENTRY and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust are set to promote wellbeing in the Coventry community.

The Talking Therapies service will be promoted at 13 locations on world mental health day, October 10.

The theme this year is ‘It is time to prioritise mental health in the workplace’ – staff will be visiting Coventry, Warwickshire and Solihull.

University Hospitals of Coventry and Warwickshire will have a tea and cake event will take place for staff on the maternity ward.

Sonya Gardiner, chief operating officer at CWPT, said: “Promoting self-care and the support available is pivotal in ensuring that mental wellbeing is a priority for all, which is why CWPT’s Talking Therapies Service remains focused on ensuring that everyone has the tools and information to maintain strong mental health.

“This is why we hosted a mindfulness workshop for staff this year to mark World Mental Health Day in CWPT and why our Talking Therapies team is heading out unto the community to talk about mental health.”

The mindful workshop took place on October 2 for all CWPT employees and was led by the Talking Therapies Service.

Sheri Ashton, head of service at Talking Therapies for anxiety and depression said: “While World Mental Health Day only lasts 24 hours, however our mental health requires ongoing attention.

“That’s why we led the workshop for our colleagues last week and are now out and about speaking to people about the importance of prioritising their mental health.”
