THRILL SEEKERS abseiled down Coventry Cathedral and raised over £61,000 for The Myton Hospices.
On September 28, attendees were pushed to their limits in support of the hospice’s work, providing end of life care for people across Coventry and Warwickshire.
MDT Training sponsored the event and raised £1,317 for the hospice, Reddit funded 75 abseil places for local people to take part, from its community funds programme.
Live performances, organised by Paul Sanders took part on the day.
The abseil team from Eight Point Two, guided participants down from the cathedral.
Marc Dwyer, challenge events fundraiser at The Myton Hospices, said: “We are so grateful for the amazing people who took on this incredible challenge.
“We’ve recently launched our Urgent Appeal to raise £240,000, so more people in Coventry and Warwickshire can access a Hospice Bed when they need it.
“Our local community’s support is crucial in helping us reach as many people as possible living with life-limiting illnesses.
“We would like to thank everyone who participated, volunteered and donated.
“Their efforts will help us to continue providing essential palliative and end of life care to our patients and their families.”
