THE night sky over Coventry will be illuminated with various bright colours as Bonfire Night approaches.
Bonfire night falls on a Tuesday this year, but there are plenty of events taking place over the coming weekend on November 1-3, and the following weekend on 8-10.
Here are a few to choose from:
Charity Bonfire and Fireworks Night
Taking place on November 2, at The Black Pad, Off Yelverton Road, the event will be raising cash for local charities.
This year the night will be supporting Pathways, Zoes Place and The Dynamo Project.
Live music, fairground rides and entertainment will be available through the night, as well as two bars.
Old Coventrians RFC Bonfire and Fireworks display
This year OC’s are holding their Bonfire & Fireworks Display on November 2, starting from 5pm at Old Coventrians RFC, Tile Hill Lane.
Fireworks are set to be displayed at 7.30pm and the bonfire will be lit an hour before at 6.30pm.
Local musicians, Jimmy Kemp and Diz n Rox will be performing – and there will be a bar and food stalls.
Coventry and North Warwickshire Cricket Club
Taking place on November 1, the family friendly display will be held at the cricket club.
As car parking is limited, it will be prepaid only, with gates opening at 4pm.
Fireworks will be at 7.30pm and entertainment set to take place from 8pm.
The bar will be open, food available to buy from the Club as well as various stalls including glowsticks, sweets, and samosas.
Coventry Rugby Fireworks Night
This years fireworks display at Butts Park Arena, taking place on November 2 with doors opening at 3pm.
There will be food, bars, entertainment and a big firework display alongside a Take That tribute act.
The tribute act begins at 5pm, and fireworks begin at 7:30pm.
