AN INSTALLATION of 12 ultra-rapid electric vehicle charging points has been completed at Village Hotel Club Coventry.
The 350kW chargers are available for hotel guests and the general public and are capable of charging 80 per cent of an electric vehicle in under 10-15 minutes.
The installation of the clubs national partnership with IONITY, which aims to see 380 ultra-rapid charging points installed across Village’s 33 locations.
Mark Starkey, general manager of Village Hotel Club Coventry, said: “We want to play our role in supporting the UK’s transition to a greener future; however, slow, inefficient chargers in unfavourable locations are often a barrier to people making the switch to an electric vehicle.
“Now, thanks to this installation, we’ll make rapid electric vehicle charging more convenient, offering opportunities for the local community to charge near their homes, while they are at the Village Gym, or having a drink or bite to eat with us.”
