TWO PEOPLE have been charged in connection with a series of shop thefts in Coventry.
Douglas Sirrell and Annabelle Feeney were both charged with theft from a shop having been arrested earlier this week.
Both are accused of stealing from shops in the North East of the city.
Sirrell, 52, was charged with 10 shop thefts and Feeney, 43, was charged with four shop thefts.
Both were due to appear before magistrates in Coventry today (Decemeber 13).
A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: “We take shoplifting very seriously and our teams across Coventry regularly take part in high-visibility patrols and business engagement.
“All reports of shoplifting are investigated and contribute to our wider intelligence picture, which helps us take decisive action sooner.
