FOOTBALL - Coventry City under-21s have two sent off in Hull defeat

COVENTRY City under-21s had two players sent off in a 3-0 defeat against Hull City in the Premier League Cup.

The young Sky Blues ended their Premier League Cup campaign with a defeat at the LNER Community Stadium.

City had already been eliminated from the competition following a 3-0 defeat against Leicester City.

Hull broke the deadlock just past the half-hour mark when Brandon Harriman-Annous found the net.

And the Tigers doubled their lead on 37 minutes as Aidon Shehu put the home side in command.

The Sky Blues then had both Kain Ryan and Tionne Critchlow-Woyo sent off in first-half injury time.

And Hull made the most of the extra men to seal the points as Harriman-Annous scored his second of the game.

Coventry’s under-21s are next in action at home against Burnley on Tuesday, February 11 with kick-off at 1pm.
