ATHLETICS - Coventry Godiva Harriers athletes selected for European Indoor Championships

A PAIR of Coventry Godiva Harriers athletes have received international call-ups for the European Indoor Championships.

Godiva runners Adam Fogg and Stephen Baffour will represent Great Britain and Italy respectively at the Championships next month.

The European Indoor Championships take place from March 6 to 9 in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands.

Fogg will run the 3,000m after finishing fourth at the UK Indoor Championships recently.

He also lowered his 1,500m personal best (PB) down to 3 minutes 34 seconds and finished eighth in the 3,000m at the prestigious Millrose Games in New York.

Fogg enjoyed a breakthrough, year in 2024 as he reached the 1,500m final at the World Indoor Championships and won bronze in the mixed relay at the World Cross Country Championships in Belgrade, Serbia.




He also qualified for the 1,500m final at the European Championships in Rome and won bronze at the UK Championships in Manchester.

And fellow Godiva athlete Baffour will represent Italy in the 60m event.


Baffour finished second at the Italian Indoor Championships earlier this month.

He recorded a time of 6.70 secs, beating the reigning European 60m champion in the process.

The 21-year-old lowered his club-record over the distance to 6.61 secs in Sheffield last month.

He won the British Universities title over 60m and 100m last year and also claimed the Italian under-23 100m and 200m titles.
