COVENTRY City under-21s secured back-to-back wins in the Professional Development League with a 2-1 victory against Wigan Athletic.

The young Sky Blues took the lead courtesy of Joshua Toluwaloju’s goal on 24 minutes at the Coventry Building Society Arena.

Wigan drew level four minutes after half time when Maleace Asamoah scored from the penalty spot.

However, Charlie Finney restored Coventry’s lead on 73 minutes to earn the young Sky Blues the points.

The result means City sit fifth in the Professional Development League North table.

Coventry City under-21s next take to the pitch against Sheffield United on Friday, March 28 with kick-off at 1pm at the CBS Arena.
