COVENTRY’s Hospital Radio has been ranked among the top ten in the country at a national awards ceremony.

At the Hospital Broadcasting Association 2025 Awards, the station – which serves University Hospital Coventry – finished in the top ten of the categories in which it was shortlisted, including Station Of The Year.

It was also in the top ten in the categories for Best Specialist Music Programme for Lee Baker’s CHR Country show, Best Special Event for the FA Cup Semi Final Special, Best Programme with Multiple Presenters for Moz Baker and Clive Brookes, and Best Female Presenter for Laura Dunn.

The station’s PR Officer Simon Tidmarsh said: “We are delighted with the results of the Hospital Broadcasting Association 2025 Awards – from specialist shows through to capturing the spirit of the city on the amazing FA Cup Journey last season with the Sky Blues.

“We are also delighted that our listeners are listening to a radio station that is the Top 10 out of all the hospital radios in the UK.

“This year was tougher than ever due to a higher number of radio stations entering in each category.

“I would also like to add a big thank you to all our volunteers who give up their free time every week to keep the radio station going by presenting on the radio or being on the wards collecting requests. I know those daily tasks are what keeps us going as a radio station.”

Coventry Hospital Radio broadcasts for free, 24 hours a day, seven days a week on bedside units at University Hospital Coventry and online at www.coventryhospitalradio.org, on the Coventry Hospital Radio App, and on smart speakers.
