COVENTRY City supporters have shared their memories of the club’s former Highfield Road home – 20 years on from the stadium’s last match.
The Sky Blues said goodbye to Highfield Road on April, 30 in 2005, having played at the ground since 1899.
And City marked the occasion with a memorable 6-2 win against Derby County.
Academy graduate Andy Whing scored the final goal at the stadium before it was demolished in March 2006.
The club moved into the then Ricoh Arena (now Coventry Building Society Arena) in August 2005.
However, many of the club’s supporters hold fond memories of Coventry’s former home.
And supporters shared their favourite pictures from the day of the final game at the ground with the club on X.
Me and my late dad were there. What a beautifully sunny, yet sad day. pic.twitter.com/t3UxaPaVDh
