FOOTBALL - Coventry City's Brandon Thomas-Asante called up by Ghana to play in Unity Cup fixture

COVENTRY City forward Brandon Thomas-Asante has received a call-up to play for Ghana in the Unity Cup.

Thomas-Asante will represent the Black Stars against Nigeria in a game at Brentford’s Gtech Community Stadium.

The game takes place on Wednesday, May 28 with kick-off at 7.45pm.

The four-team tournament also features Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago.

A finals day, featuring all four teams, will then take place at the Gtech Community Stadium on Saturday, May 31.

Thomas-Asante has won one cap for Ghana, coming on as a late substitute in a 4-3 win against Central African Republic.
