COVENTRY City will play Luton Town in the first round of the Carabao Cup.
The Sky Blues host the Hatters in the week commencing August 11 at the Coventry Building Society Arena.
Luton suffered relegation from the Championship last season to drop into League One.
The Hatters beat Coventry on penalties in the 2022/23 Championship play-off final to secure promotion to the Premier League.
However, Matt Bloomfield’s side have since suffered back-to-back relegations and will play in League One in 2025/26.
City are in the southern section of the draw.
Coventry reached the third round of the competition last season.
The Sky Blues conceded two late goals to suffer a 2-1 home defeat against eventual semi-finalists Tottenham Hotspur.
John Barnes and Shay Given conducted the draw with Coventry the first ball to be drawn out of the bowl.
