‘EXCELLENT progress’ has been made by Caludon Castle School students on A-level results day.
The class of 2025 achieved a range of the top available grades and an improved value-added score on previous years.
For those following the vocational route, 40 per cent gained Distinction*- Distinction grades, while 80 per cent achieved grades Distinction*- Merit.

Jagveer Dhillon: A in Maths, Economics Psychology – studying PPE at the University of Warwick
Melissa Thornton: A* in History and Psychology and A in English Literature and EPQ – studying Ancient History and Archaeology at the University of Birmingham
Lauren Smith: A* in Psychology and Philosophy, A in History – studying Psychology at the University of Warwick
Timi Afuwape: A in Maths and Chemistry, B in Maths and Further Maths – studying Mechanical Engineering at the University of Southampton
Daniel Hambidge: A in Maths, Design Technology and Physics. Seeking degree apprenticeships.
Amelia Sutherland: A* in Maths, A in History and English Language and B in Further Maths – studying Maths at the University of Manchester
Callum Kane: A in Maths, B in Geography and Physics. Degree apprenticeship at GE Aerospace.
A school spokesperson said: “The gains our students make from their starting points are excellent, with subjects such as Maths, English, History and the Sciences achieving outcomes that represent excellent progress.
