COVENTRY City are set to sign Ipswich Town defender Luke Woolfenden in a £4million deal on transfer deadline day.
Woolfenden has been given permission to have a medical with the Sky Blues, according to Sky Sports.
Sky report the two clubs have agreed on a total package worth £4m.
The 26-year-old played a key role as Ipswich achieved back-to-back promotions from League One to the Premier League.
He then made 15 appearances last season as the Tractor Boys suffered relegation from the top flight.
Woolfenden came through Ipswich’s youth academy and has made a total of 214 appearances scoring five goals.
The centre-back made 41 league appearances in each of Ipswich’s two promotion-winning campaigns.
