Broadgate was buzzing throughout six days of free activities that brought thousands of people together.

More than 16,000 people got involved throughout the event – a record number of attendees for Sports Fest since it started.

Sports Fest was supported by 45 partners and organisations who offered residents the chance to try their hand at 22 different sports and activities, while also exploring 15 stalls which provided information, advice and opportunities to get active in the city.

Coun Kamran Caan, Cabinet Member for Public Health and Sport said “This year’s Sports Fest has been record-breaking, with more than 16,000 people taking part, the highest number we’ve ever seen. It’s fantastic to witness so many residents and visitors coming together in the heart of our city to try new activities, discover local clubs and enjoy being active.

“What makes this event so special is that it offers opportunities for everyone, no matter their age or ability, to get moving and enjoy the benefits of physical activity at no cost.

“We’re proud of the positive impact it has on our communities, and we’re looking forward to building on this success in the future.

“Thank you to everyone who played a role in making this year’s Sports Fest one of the best yet.”
