COVENTRY City head coach Frank Lampard and midfielder Victor Torp are on the shortlist for individual monthly awards for August.

Lampard has been nominated for the Championship manager of the month award.

And Torp is shortlisted for the player of the month prize.

Lampard guided the Sky Blues to an unbeaten start to the 2025/26 campaign.

Coventry scored a combined total of 12 goals in victories against Derby County and Queens Park Rangers respectively.

The two wins came in-between draws with Hull City and Oxford United.

And Torp played a central role in City’s unbeaten start, scoring four goals in as many appearances.

The Danish midfielder netted his first of the season against Derby before then scoring a brace in a 7-1 victory against QPR.

And he also found the net in City’s draw with Oxford as he lashed home a free-kick from just outside the penalty area.

Lampard is up against former Sky Blues boss Mark Robins, now in charge of Stoke City, and Middlesbrough’s Rob Edwards.

And Torp faces competition for the prize from Bristol City’s Ross McCrorie, Norwich City’s Josh Sargent and also Stoke’s Sorba Thomas.

The winner of the award will be announced on Friday, September 12.
