New chapter begins for historic Ansty Hall

Coventry Editorial 23rd Sep, 2025   0

ANSTY Hall has opened the latest chapter in its long and rich history.

The charming 17th-century Georgian country house hotel in Coventry, marks Exclusive Collection’s first property in the Midlands, joining a portfolio that includes Pennyhill Park in Surrey, South Lodge in West Sussex and The Manor House in Wiltshire.

Managing Director Danny Pecorelli said demand from the Midlands had been huge for years, making the revival of Ansty Hall a long-awaited addition.

Nestled in eight acres of landscaped gardens, the striking red-brick mansion has been meticulously restored, with its original features enhanced with modern comforts and thoughtful design by Russell Sage. The refurbishment pays tribute to Coventry’s long history of silk weaving and cloth manufacturing, with textile giants such as Cash’s and Courtauld’s shaping the city’s industrial story. Today, this is celebrated in thoughtful design choices: the signature restaurant is named Twine, the bedroom block is called The Weavers, and hand-woven patterns feature throughout the interiors.

General Manager Steve Ogden commented: “Just as its emblem, the Phoenix, represents, Ansty Hall has been regenerated from the ashes by Exclusive Collection. We are thrilled to open our doors and welcome guests to experience the perfect blend of elegance, history, and innovation. Every detail, from the Georgian architecture to the curated art adorning our halls, has been thoughtfully crafted to inspire and delight.”

Twine & High Chai

At the heart is Twine, Ansty Hall’s newly refurbished restaurant. Designed with mid-century elegance, rosy hues, and artistic flourishes, Twine celebrates comfortingly familiar British classics, each elevated with inventive twists and delicate spice.

Alongside Twine, Ansty Hall presents the imaginative High Chai Afternoon Tea. Crafted by Head Pastry Chef Iulia, this experience weaves tradition with local flavour, introducing chai-inspired treats.
