COVENTRY City supporters travelling to this weekend’s game against Birmingham City are being warned about road closures on the M6.

The Sky Blues host Birmingham on Saturday, September 27 at the Coventry Building Society Arena.

The club are advising fans to plan alternative routes or modes of transport for the fixture due to a planned closure of the M6.

The M6 will be closed in Solihull for HS2 works, between junctions 4 to 4a northbound and junctions 4a to 4 southbound.

This includes the M42 junction 7a to M6 southbound.

The closure period will be from 3am on Saturday, September 27 until 10pm on Sunday, September 28.

A clearly signed diversion route will be in place over the period.

Advance signage is also in place to help remind motorists of the closure.
