COVENTRY Rugby have signed Scottish forward Allan Ferrie ahead of the start of the new Champ Rugby season.
The 25-year-old has featured for the likes of Newton Stewart, Melrose Rugby and Southern Knights in the Super 6 competition.
He has also represented Scotland at under-18 level and enjoyed a stint with Southern Districts in Australia’s Shute Shield.
Ferrie said: “I’m thrilled to be joining Coventry Rugby – it’s an opportunity I couldn’t pass up.
“Speaking with Alex, it’s clear the club has a strong vision and ambitious plans for the future, and I’m eager to play my part in helping this historic team achieve its goals.”
Coventry head coach, Alex Rae added: “It’s great to get Allan in the building training with the boys.
“He’s on the back of some really impressive performances in the Shute Shield, physically really imposing on both sides of the ball.
“He’s not come through the conventional route to get here which is exciting and there’s huge amounts of growth in his game which is exciting for him and us.”
