FORMER Coventry City chief Dave Boddy has taken up the role of CEO at National League club Solihull Moors.

Boddy spent seven years as CEO at Coventry from 2017 to 2024 during which time the Sky Blues rose from League Two to the brink of the Premier League.

He left Coventry in January last year but has now returned to football with Moors in the National League.

Boddy said: “I am really excited about the opportunity that the Moors are offering me and excited to be back in the game.

“The chairman and the rest of the team have built a great infrastructure for the club and the training ground is the envy of most League One and Two club’s.

“I will be bringing a wealth of experience, ideas and enthusiasm to try and further help develop the club both on and off the pitch and further cement the club at the heart of its community.

“The chairman involved me in the process of appointing the new manager at the back end of September which gave me a great insight to how the club operates and what great potential there is.”

During his time with the Sky Blues, Boddy dealt with the club’s groundshare with Birmingham City and also helped Coventry operate smoothly during the pandemic.

He also ensured Coventry remained in their home city last season after CBS Arena operators Arena Coventry Limited went into administration.
