RUGBY UNION - Eliot Salt to make 50th Coventry Rugby appearance in Richmond clash

ELIOT Salt will make his 50th Coventry Rugby appearance against Richmond this weekend as Alex Rae’s side look to return to winning ways.

Coventry suffered a 63-36 defeat against Champ Rugby leaders Ealing Trailfinders at Butts Park Arena last time out.

Salt features in the front row alongside Toby Trinder and captain Jordon Poole.

Behind the front row, Dan Green comes in to partner Senitiki Nayalo.

At flanker, Tom Ball switches to blindside with Onisivoro Sukani Nayagi taking up his place on the openside.

Last week’s captain Morgan Strong continues in the number eight shirt.




In the backs, Josh Barton and Josh Thomas continue their half-back partnership.

Outside of Thomas, Api Bavandra comes into the attack after impressing from the bench against Ealing.


He is joined by Oli Morris in the centres with Peter Sullivan and David Opoku-Fordjour on the wings and Ewan Baker at full-back.

On the bench, Murray Davidson, Aristot Benz-Salomon, Matt Johnson, Jack Shine, and Mackenzie Graham all feature.

While in the backs, Sam Maunder returns to the squad following his suspension alongside Tommy Mathews and Dafydd Rhys-Tiueti.

Coventry travel to Richmond on Saturday, November 1 with kick-off at 2pm at Richmond Athletic Ground.
