COVENTRIANS came together in their hundreds to pay their respects to the fallen at West Orchards Shopping Centre for the annual Poppy Drop on Armistice Day (Tuesday November 11).
Veterans and guests observed the two-minute silence at 11am, as 4,000 poppies fell from the centre’s dome.
Rev Richard Hibbert led prayers, the Last Post was played by Coventry Corp of Drums, and The Lord Mayor of Coventry, Coun Rachel Lancaster, addressed the crowd.
