A MURDER suspect has been charged with the killing of another man who was stabbed to death in Coventry.
Police arrested a man on suspicion of murder after they were called to an address in Aldrich Avenue in Tile Hill on the morning of Tuesday November 18, where Anthony Priestley, 53, was found with serious injuries.
Nothing could be done to save him and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Alexander Neilson, 28, of no fixed address, has been charged with murder and aggravated burglary.
He was remanded in custody and appeared before Coventry Magistrates Court on Friday (November 21).
The family of Anthony released a statement paying tribute to him.
They said: “Anton, we loved you so much and we cannot imagine that we’re never going to see you again. Our love for you will never end.”
Anthony’s daughter also paid tribute to her father, saying: “Thanks for all the lovely memories I have of you. Your loving daughter.”
