ENTHUSIASTIC volunteers from Amazon in Coventry have helped two Coventry charities with their appeals over the festive period.

They packed Operation Christmas Child shoebox gifts at the Samaritan’s Purse National Ministry Centre in the city.

The gift-filled shoeboxes were sent out to children in need in Ukraine, Moldova, Albania, Malawi, Ghana, the Balkans, Eastern Europe, Central Asia, West Africa, and the Middle East.

The team also helped with the annual Coventry Myton Hospice Christmas Fayre, supplying £250 worth of items for the gift tombola and helping co-ordinate event stalls.

Nick Cole, Director of Operation Christmas Child at Samaritan’s Purse UK, said: “Thank you to the Amazon team in Coventry for their support of Operation Christmas Child.

“Their volunteers brought such enthusiasm and energy to our shoebox packing event, and their contribution will help bring hope and joy to vulnerable children in some of the world’s most challenging regions.

“Partnerships like this are vital to our mission, and we’re truly thankful for their generosity.”

Irene Cobbold from Amazon in Coventry said: “Our team is proud to support two fantastic charities that make a real difference to people’s lives.

“It’s been rewarding to see our colleagues come together for these causes, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to make a positive impact.”
