COVENTRY City have ‘held loan talks’ over the signing of Crystal Palace youngster Romain Esse.
The Sky Blues are keen on signing the 20-year-old to add further depth to their forward options, according to the Telegraph.
Esse has made just seven appearances for Palace in all competitions this season including three in the UEFA Conference League.
The youngster moved to Selhurst Park from Championship side Millwall in January last year after scoring seven goals in 66 appearances for the Lions.
He featured as unused substitute as Palace won both the FA Cup and Community Shield.
Esse scored for the Eagles against Brentford last season with his first touch for the club in the Premier League.
He predominantly plays as either an attacking midfielder or right winger but can also operate from the left.
Esse made his debut for England under-21s in August 2025.
