COVENTRY City striker Norman Bassette is set to join Kaiserslautern on loan with his temporary switch at Stade de Reims to be terminated.
The 21-year-old has scored just one goal in 12 appearances for Ligue 2 side Reims after joining the French club on loan with an option to buy in the summer.
He also netted for the club in a Coupe de France clash against Iris Club de Croix.
However, according to Sky Sport Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg, Bassette will now head to German side Kaiserslautern on a six-month loan deal.
The loan will include an option to buy with the young striker to undergo a medical with the German side later today.
Kaiserslautern currently sit seventh in the 2. Bundesliga table.
Bassette scored two goals in 29 appearances for Coventry last season.
He also made his senior international debut for Belgium in November 2024.
Bassette joined the Sky Blues from Caen in August 2024.
