COVENTRY Sphinx ended a run of nine games without a win with a 2-1 victory against Loughborough Students.
Joint managers Ryan and Joe Conneely secured their first win since taking charge at the Cameron Slater Arena.
Sphinx fell behind to Ashden Shortland’s goal only for Iddriss Fuseini and Damian Kelly to turn the game on its head after the break.
The result means Coventry sit 17th in the Northern Premier League Midlands table, three points above the relegation zone.
Loughborough broke the deadlock on 29 minutes when Shortland took the ball off a Sphinx defender and coolly found the net.
However, Coventry equalised on 53 minutes though Fuseini before Kelly completed the turnaround on 73 minutes to bring an end to the club’s winless run.
Coventry are next in action against Lichfield City on Tuesday, January 27 with kick-off at 7.45pm at the Cameron Slater Arena.
