COVENTRY Rugby have named their squad for this weekend’s fixture against Doncaster Knights on a landmark occasion for the club.

Alex Rae’s side will play at the newly-renamed Nick Newbold Stadium for the first time.

The club have renamed their Butts Park Arena home in memory of former club director Newbold who devoted 17 years to Coventry.

A naming ceremony will take place before kick-off on the pitch with a presentation featuring Newbold’s family and friends.

And a minute’s applause will take place immediately before kick-off in Newbold’s memory.

Coventry return to the pitch for the first time since the end of February when the club claimed a thrilling win at Ampthill.

Rae names Aristot Benz-Salomon, captain Jordon Poole and Eliot Salt in the front row while Dan Green and Senitiki Nayalo form the second-row partnership.

Allan Ferrie, Tom Ball and Morgan Strong make up the back row while in the backs Josh Barton starts at scrum-half alongside Tommy Mathews at fly-half.

Morgan Adderly-Jones and Dafydd-Rhys Tiueti combine in midfield with Api Bavadra and David Opoku-Fordjour providing width on the wings.

And Tom Bacon completes the starting XV at full-back while senior academy player Sam Harding could make his Coventry debut from the bench.

Coventry host Doncaster on Saturday, March 21 with kick-off at 3pm at the Nick Newbold Stadium.
