FORMER Manchester United and England defender Wes Brown has backed Frank Lampard to keep Coventry City in the Premier League next season.
Brown made more than 350 appearances for Man United in a 13-year spell with the Red Devils which saw him win five Premier League titles, two Champions Leagues and two FA Cups.
The defender played against Sky Blues boss Lampard in the 2007/08 Champions League final which United won on penalties.
And Brown believes former England teammate Lampard has the experience and the talent to keep Coventry in the Premier League next season.
Wes Brown was speaking Compare.bet, who offer the latest New Betting Sites: “Knowing Frank Lampard, he is a determined character. He knows what he wants. You have your highs and lows but you can see the focus he put into this season.
“I don’t think most of us could be managers, let alone do what Frank has done at Coventry. It’s been absolute domination and I’m really looking forward to seeing them in the Premier League. He knows how difficult it’s going to be.
“You know, he’s been there and he’ll know what he’ll need from the players. But at the same time, I think the way they’ve played, it’s been a testament to Frank and his staff. They’ve been excellent and Frank has obviously had a big part to play in that.
“He’s been in the game for a long time now, if you look at it, and he’ll be looking to really push on and have a good season next year.”
