Breast feeding group launched, water pipes replaced

A GROUP offering support to breast-feeding mothers will meet at Central Library every Thursday.

It will take place every week between 10am and noon to co-incide with the library’s popular rhyme time group at 11am.

NEW water pipes long enough to go around the ring road one of a half times have been laid in Eastern Green.

Severn Trent said it had completed the £860,000, three and a half mile replacement project to reduce the number of bursts and leaks in the area.

Spokesman Jonathan Tait said: “A lot of the water pipes in the area had been serving the community for many years. This means they had become old and prone to bursting, which can interrupt our customers’ water supply.”
