GARDEN designer Sadie May Stowell has won a Silver Gilt at the Chelsea Flower Show with her Viking Cruises Norse Garden.

The entry by the 2005 winner of Channel Four’s Great Garden Challenge, who is based in Coventry, was commissioned by the cruise ship firm.

Its centre piece is a handmade prow of a Viking Longship and also feature a trail of Viking rune stones.

The garden is in the Artisan section of the show which runs until Saturday in the grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea in London.

For Sadie this was her debut at Chelsea and she is delighted with the result. She says “The garden is looking beautiful, there are so many people involved in creating a show garden and I have them all to thank, in particular my sponsors Viking River Cruises for their enthusiasm and trust that I could bring to life the Viking spirit.”
