ALMOST eight months and 17 races since the start of the MotoGP championship in Qatar Cal Crutchlow will take to the track with Ducati one final time in the last round of the season in Spain this Sunday.
Coventry-born Crutchlow will be continuing his career in the sport with Honda in 2015 but not before he takes to the track one more time at the Ricardo Tormo circuit in Valencia.
The 29-year-old has endured a miserable season to date having finished just eight of his 17 races this season, with his best finish coming in Aragon back in September where he finished third – his only podium finish in 2014.
Crutchlow’s best performance in Valencia came in 2011 where he finished fourth and he will be hoping to add to his points tally of 63 this weekend and finish his time at Ducati on a high.
He said: “I’ve been feeling a lot more confident on the bike now since Aragòn, we’ve really found my pace back, so we need to take these positives to Valencia.
“This will be my last GP with the Ducati Team so a big thanks to them for this season, I’m going to miss them.
“They worked hard all through the year and I will try my best in the last race to get a good result.”
