Football for a fiver returns for Sky Blues fans

Coventry Editorial 23rd Sep, 2014 Updated: 28th Oct, 2016   0

FOOTBALL for a fiver is back when the Sky Blues host Exeter City in the Second Round of the Johnstone Paint Trophy next month.

Ticket prices for the match on October 7 have been set at £5 for adults, concessions and children, with tickets going on general sale today (Thursday).

Initially the East and West Stands, as well as the Family Zone, will be open with tickets in the North and South Stands being made available should there be the demand from supporters.

“We are doing everything we can to get more of our supporters inside the Ricoh Arena to cheer on Steven Pressley’s team,” said the club’s chief executive Steve Waggott.

“We are limited on how many offers we can give on tickets for league games so have decided to bring back football for a fiver for our Johnstone’s Paint Trophy tie with Exeter.

“There’s no doubt that the offer played a big part in creating a great atmosphere at the Ricoh during our run to the Area Final two seasons ago and we would love to recreate that.”

Tickets are available from the CCFC Superstore at the Gallagher Retail Park or online at ccfcshop.co.uk and will be limited to four per person.
