Six men in court over murder of Coventry mum

SIX men have been charged in connection with the murder of a Coventry mum.

Hayley Pointon was shot dead in February 2013 while visiting a house in Sunnydale Road, Hinckley, Leicestershire. A post mortem examination confirmed the 30-year-old mum-of-two died from a single gunshot wound.

Aaron Power and Aaron Newman, both aged 24, have been charged with murder.

Meanwhile Craig Adamson, 22; Jamie Simpson, 26; Dylan Whitty, 29; and Matthew Dicey, 39, have been charged with assisting an offender. All the men are from Coventry, other than Mr Dicey who is from Rugby.




All six appeared at Leicester Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday (October 1) and will next appear at Leicester Crown Court on Wednesday, October 15.
