TWO brothers have been charged with the murder of missing Coventry warehouse worker, Sameena Imam, more than two weeks after her disappearance.

Roger Cooper, aged 40, of Tile Hurst Drive, Coventry and David Cooper, aged 38, of Hughenden Drive, Leicester were charged by officers on Friday, January 9 following their arrest at their home addresses two days earlier on suspicion of her murder.

Despite extensive searches by specialist police officers Sameena ? aged 34 and who was living in Cardiff at the time she disappeared ? has not been seen since 24 December, at her work address of Costco, Torrington Avenue.

Her car ? a black BMW one series – was located by officers in Overstone Road, Luton, on January 4.

Searches at both of the Leicester properties have now taken place.

Detective Superintendent Mark Payne, who is leading the investigation into Sameena’s disappearance, said: “This is a significant development in our inquiry and our thoughts are with Sameena’s family and friends at this time.

“Our investigation is still very much ongoing and I would like to thank all those who have called with information so far to help find Sameena.

“We remain keen to speak to anyone who believes they may have information about Sameena’s disappearance and I would urge them to call us on 101 or the anonymous charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
