BEARS boss Tom Tsang blamed a lack of clinical edge for his side’s 40-15 defeat at home to Kingstone Press League One leaders Keighley Cougars.
The hosts found themselves 26-6 down at the break and despite an improved second half performance they were unable to catch up with their rivals.
The defeat leaves the Bears 11th in the table with 12 games of the season remaining and this weekend they travel to Rochdale Hornets in search of their fifth win of the campaign.
Tsang said: “For our third game in a row, we matched our opposition toe for toe in the forwards and for large portions of the game were actually on top physically, but just couldnt make the most of the opportunities we created for ourselves, whereas Keighley were clinical and turned most of their chances and half chances into points.
“We also picked up a number of injuries in the game too which disrupted our structures a little.
“We will keep working hard in training, striving for improvements and face another top side in Rochdale next week.”
