A MAN has died following a fire in a flat in Coventry on Saturday night (August 22).
Ambulance crews responded to reports of a serious fire at Wyken Court, Attoxhall Road, at around 5.20pm. An ambulance and a paramedic officer attended the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Crews arrived to find fire crews tackling a fire that was contained to one flat in the building.
“Unfortunately, it quickly became apparent that nothing could be done to save a man found in the flat, and sadly he was confirmed dead at the scene.
“No other person was injured in the fire.”
