MONTHS of planning will all come into one piece on Sunday (13th) as Dorridge Park hosts Dorridge Day.
The theme for the day is myths and magic – with plenty in place to keep the public entertained event organisers are confident of a successful day.
Event organiser Gary Welsh said: “The event has been running for 50 years now and we have plans in place to make this the biggest one yet.
“We have two areas within the day – the arena, and outside this area.
“The arena will be filled with entertainment such as magicians, choirs and our falconry display will also be on show.
“We have a fancy dress competition and young heroes award in place as well – all of this will be concluded with a large scale water-fight which should be fantastic.”
Activities including an adventure course, inflatable football and a Hogwarts themed steam train in the presence of the Lord Mayor are also ready.
The day starts at midday and continues until 4pm – car parking is available.
Admission is £1.50 per person, all the proceeds will be go to Round Table – an organisation that distribute money to local schemes.
