Family of Coventry bus crash victim, Rowan Fitzgerald, pay tribute to their 'adorable and cheeky little boy'

The family of a seven-year-old boy killed in the Coventry bus tragedy have paid tribute to their football-loving son.

Rowan Fitzgerald from Leamington died when the double-decker Stagecoach bus crashed into the Sainsbury’s supermarket on Trinity Street on Saturday, October 3.

His family described Rowan as an ‘adorable caring person’ who gave ‘so much love’ to everyone he met.

They said: “He was a handsome little boy, whose cheeky smile lit up any room.




“He made life full of laughter with never a dull moment and always kept us going with his cheeky little ways.”

The seven-year-old St Anthony’s Catholic Primary School pupil and avid football fan was was returning from the Ricoh Arena when this tragedy happened.


The family added: “We love and miss him so much and as a family would appreciate any information that can be given to the police investigation to help us understand why our little boy was taken from us.”

 

Officers continue to investigate the crash, in which 77-year-old pedestrian Dora Hancox also died, and have re-appealed for witnesses to come forward.
