A CAT who was shot in the face with an air weapon has had a lucky escape.

Bones was found in the Upper Stoke area of Coventry, near Clay Lane, with a pellet lodged by his nose after someone took a pot-shot at him.

Staff at the city’s Medivets have asked anyone who saw or know anything about the attack to come forward.

Bones has been reported to be recovering well, luckily there was no deep damage.

Anyone with any information should call the RSPCA on 0300 1234 999.
